Image Sourcing & Usage Policy

Where the images on YarnFinds come from, how designers are credited, and how I handle AI-reworked images.

Images From Designers

My roundups feature knitting patterns made by other designers. Photos of those patterns are sourced from the designer’s original post or shop listing, and each entry credits the designer and links to their page. I never claim ownership of another designer’s photography or work, and I never republish another designer’s full pattern as my own. If you are a designer and want an image removed, updated or credited differently, please contact me.

AI-Reworked Images

For some of these designer-credited items, the image shown has been reworked or enhanced with AI to improve clarity or photo quality. When I do this, I always keep the same stitches, colors and the same finished item shown in the designer’s own photos. I do not alter or invent what it actually looks like. Before publishing any AI-reworked image, I check the designer’s own blog or shop listing as the real reference to make sure it matches the real thing.

Use of AI-Assisted Imagery in Guides

In my beginner guides, I may use AI-assisted diagrams or illustrations to explain a stitch or a technique. These images are only there to help explain. I never use them to show a finished result that does not exist.

My Commitment to Accuracy

I want what you see on YarnFinds to match what you will get from the designer’s pattern. If an image ever looks different from the real item, I treat that as a mistake and fix it.
