How YarnFinds collects, uses and protects your information.

Last Updated: October 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information YarnFinds collects when you visit yarnfinds.com, how I use it, and the choices you have. YarnFinds is run by me, Ali. In this policy, “I”, “me” and “my” refer to me as the site owner, and “the site” means yarnfinds.com.

Information I Collect

Information you give me

When you use my contact form, I collect your name, your email address and your message. If I ever offer a newsletter, I will collect the email address you sign up with. I only collect this when you choose to send it.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the site automatically records some technical data when you visit. This can include your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. Some of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies, described below.

How I Use Your Information

  • To reply to your messages and requests.
  • To keep the site running, secure and free of spam and attacks.
  • To see which pages are useful, so I can improve the content.
  • To send a newsletter, only if you sign up for one, with an unsubscribe link in every email.
  • To meet legal obligations.

I do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The site uses cookies for basic functions, security and, where enabled, analytics. You can read the full details in my Cookie Policy.

Analytics

I may use Google Analytics, connected through Google’s Site Kit plugin, to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics collects data such as pages viewed and time on site, using cookies. You can learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy and opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Third-Party Advertising

At the time of writing, the site does not show ads. If I add an advertising partner in the future, that partner may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. I will update this policy to name the partner and link to their privacy policy before ads go live.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

I share information only in these cases:

  • Service providers that help run the site, such as my web host, security tools and analytics. They process data on my behalf.
  • Legal reasons, when the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of the site and its visitors.

Third-Party Links

My roundups link to designers’ websites and shops. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and I am not responsible for how they handle your data. Please read their policies when you visit them.

Children’s Privacy

The site is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent me personal information, please contact me and I will delete it.

Data Retention

I keep contact form messages only as long as I need them to reply and follow up. Technical and security logs are kept for a limited time and then deleted automatically.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or limit how it is used, and to receive a copy of it. To make a request, contact me through my Contact page. I will reply within a reasonable time.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

International Data Transfers

My hosting and service providers may store and process data in countries other than yours. When that happens, I rely on providers that use recognized safeguards for international transfers.

Data Security

I use reasonable measures to protect the site and your information, including HTTPS and security software. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, so I cannot promise absolute security.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information I collect, to ask me to delete it, and to opt out of its sale. I do not sell personal information. To use these rights, contact me through my Contact page.

GDPR (EU and UK Visitors)

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, I process your personal data on these legal bases: your consent (for example, analytics cookies where consent is required), my legitimate interest in running and securing the site, and legal obligations. You have the rights listed above, and you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Affiliate Links

Some posts may contain affiliate links in the future. Please see my Affiliate Disclosure for how they work.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this policy from time to time. When I do, I will change the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.
